After a hiatus Jessup Bangladesh organized the second but first virtual Jessup Workshop. This workshop was a wake-up call to us and to the Jessup lovers: no matter what comes - be it COVID 19 or something else - our pursuit for excellence and practice of international law cannot be stopped and call responded with flying colors. More than 30 teams registered in the virtual workshop and finally with 30 institutions the second Jessup Workshop was organized. The organizers, taking full advantage of the information and communication technology gathered instructors from home and abroad- Vijay Shanker, Deputy Chief, Appellate Section, Criminal Division, Dept. of Justice, an old friend of Jessup Bangladesh Assistant United States Attorney Gregory V. Davis, Tax Division, Department of Justice, and Kelly Zusman, Criminal Chief, United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon joined from their U.S home offices while the 2021 Global Rounds Runner up team National Law University, Singapore (NUS) and 2021 Best Memorial Winning team National Law University, Jodhpur (NUJS) respectively joined the workshop from Singapore and India to share their experiences; former national round champion and runner up mooters also joined from overseas jurisdictions – and the made the workshop a true global knowledge sharing platform. In the closing ceremony chief guest Justice Kazi Zinat Hoque and special Sarah Edwards, Resident Legal Advisor, U.S. Embassy, Dhaka, commending this initiative, promised to continue their individual and institutional support to ensure a rule-based world.
