ILSA Chapters BD

ILSA in pursuing its mission to educate students and young legal professionals in the principles of international law has been trying to patronize a self-supporting sustainable culture globally and as a part of that it encourages law institutions or schools globally to organize a student body in their individual campuses. The purpose of encouraging the establishment of such a student body, widely known as ILSA Chapter or International Law Society, is to accelerate the practice of international law in individual jurisdictions and to promote the growth of an interactive international law sensitive community. The patronization that starts from a vision to share and promote principles of international law in individual jurisdictions has resulted the formation of the largest network of law students and lawyers globally. However, this network of international law lovers starts a global revolution by impacting the development of legal education in each jurisdiction and changing the perception towards international through reducing the knowledge disparities of advanced and less advanced nations. This network of international law provides opportunities for communication among the individual chapters nationally and globally which not only promotes international understanding and cooperation in general, but also advances the quality legal education in particular.

Though ILSA Chapters are globally coordinated by the executive offices of ILSA but these Chapters are granted autonomy in managing the Chapters and executing their ideas and/or plans. Chapters exist as independent entities as well as members of the larger association. The ILSA Chapters BD are nationally coordinated by a body of coordinators and individually managed and run by the student body of the individual Chapters. In ensuring the growth and effective management of these Chapters the national body of coordinators extends itself in every possible way.
