Adjudicators or Judges are the polestars for Jessup. Whether national or international, successful completion of a Jessup round depends on the voluntary services of the judges. The dedicated judges help the participants to transform and evolve; their inquisitive queries and invaluable feedbacks help the competitors to identify the loopholes of their research and eventually help them to overcome their limitations. Jessup Bangladesh is indebted to its experienced and acclaimed judges panel; their presence enlightens the competitors and prepare them for their future journey.

1. Who can be a Judge?

Any person who (i) holds a degree in law, or a degree in international law-related field, and (ii) is not affiliated with any participating institution in the Competition can be a judge. However, professionals well-versed in the principles of international law and having career in the field related to the issues of the Competition Problem and having a previous experience of adjudication are mostly preferred.

2. Conflict of Interest for a Judge.

A person who has expressed his or her interest to adjudicate the national and/or international round must disclose beforehand his probable conflict of interests to the organizers.

3. Can I be a Judge of International Round?

Selection of Judges for International Round adjudication is done by the ILSA Executive Office. Anyone interested in adjudicating the international shall express his/her interest by registering as a Judge. For details see FAQ related to Judging Jessup.
