Jessup Bangladesh

Jessup Bangladesh is a symbol of accomplishment for those who believe in themselves, an inspiration for those who want to break the chain, and a love for those who loved mooting and international law. Till 2016, Bangladesh was an alien to the largest gathering of moot court competition of the world. The legal arena of Bangladesh and Jessup met in 2017 through the first Bangladesh Qualifying Round of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Since then, this bonding has become only stronger and for Bangladeshi students Jessup has become the synonym of international law.
  • “ILSA offers its gratitude and congratulations to the National Administration, the judges, the volunteers, and teams on the successful conclusion of the 7th Bangladesh National Qualifying Tournament of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition! The success and growth of the Jessup in Bangladesh is due to the tireless work of a small corps of volunteers and enthusiasts who have set themselves to the task of annually making the Jessup the best it can be. The success of this year’s Rounds are testament to that dedication. We also offer humblest thanks to the students, judges, and staff who have poured their hearts and souls into this year’s edition of the Competition.”

    Michael Peil (Executive Director, ILSA)
  • “Bangladesh first participated in the Jessup in 2017, making history with one of the largest inaugural national rounds, and with virtually unprecedented growth thereafter. We are proud to include Bangladesh as among the largest Jessup national rounds in the world, with the participation of the country’s brightest legal minds.”

    Lesley Benn (Ex-Executive Director, ILSA)
  • “I am delighted that Jessup Bangladesh is an active and vibrant participant in the worldwide Jessup Moot Court Competition. The dedication of the organizers, judges and others is remarkable, and the enthusiasm and talent of the competitors is truly inspiring. Best wishes for the upcoming Qualifying Round!”

Professor Sean Murphy (President of the American Society of International Law; Member of the U.N. International Law Commission; Manatt/Ahn Professor of International Law, George Washington University)
